Consept
The concept is about diversity and that everyone is unique, this is symbolized through fingerprints – since each fingerprint is unique.
Everyone has something that sets them apart from others, and this is a diversity that shapes society.
Target group
People who break the norms for gender and sexuality, as well as desires to celebrate queer love, diversity and equal rights.
Research question
How to create a new visual identity for Oslo Pride 2022 with a focus on diversity, inclusion and love of people who break the norms for gender and sexuality?
Process
I really liked the identity of Oslo Pride from before. A skewed logo that symbolizes queer love – simple and clear. I would like to keep this, but at the same time change the identity a little. I got the idea that the identity that Oslo Pride has now, can for example, be primary identity and then I wanted to challenge Oslo Pride with having a small secondary identity that changes every year. I felt this could provide a unique opportunity for Oslo Prides identity to look fresh and exciting every year. During the process, I developed, among other things, various fingerprints and a new color palette. As for the color palette, it was not absolutely necessary, but I could not help but experiment with the colors.
Result
The result was the same identity that should be the primary identity. A logo that will be skewed with pride colors. Furthermore, I have made a proposal where Oslo pride will have a secondary identity that changes every year. One suggestion is fingerprints that will present diversity and uniqueness. This was a fun concept because it gives the opportunity to create different fingerprints that can make the identity varied and exciting.
